Install IMonitor Software with McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.7.0i

If McAfee does not allow you to modify the settings on the client computer, please put the exclusion on the server.

1. Add iMonitor EAM Agent into McAfee Unwanted Programs Policy

Please open the McAfee VirusScan Enterprise console and double click Unwanted Programs Policy.

Click the button Exclusions.

Add "Keylog-IMon" to the exclusion list, and click OK.

Click OK to close other opened windows.

2. Add iMonitor EAM Agent folder into McAfee exception list

  1. Please open the McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.7.0i console.

  2. Disable 'Access Protection', 'Buffer Overflow Protection', 'On-Delivery Email Scanner' and 'On-Access Scanner'.

  3. Install EAM client.
  4. Again open the McAfee VirusScan Enterprise 8.7.0i console.
  5. Double click 'On-Access Scanner' and the 'On-Access Scanner Properties' window will pop up.
  6. Click 'All Processes' on the left of the window, and then click the 'Exclusions' tab on the top right of the window. Again click the 'Exclusions...' button, and the 'Set Exclusions' window will pop up.

  7. On the 'Set Exclusions' window, click the 'Add' button, and copy the following line into the field 'By name/location (can include wildcards * or ?)':
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\imonagent\

  8. When all is done, restart the computer.
